About Camping Pont Blanc

Camping Pont Blanc opened in 2022 with a simple idea: a campground should make the outdoors easier to reach, not just somewhere to park overnight.

So we put the sites where the river is, kept the woods where they were, and built everything else (the pavilion, the beach, the axe range) within walking distance of your tent door.

Thirty-two sites in total. Small enough that we know who's staying, big enough that there's always something happening on the water.

The stretch we sit on is slow, wide and shallow in the right places, which is exactly what makes it good for floating rather than fighting.

You can take a tube out for the afternoon with nothing but a shuttle ride back, or book the guided Ultimate Lazy River tour and let someone else carry the cooler. Kayaks, paddleboards and rafts are all available on site.

Protect the river. Everything we run happens on the water, which means the water comes first. Low-impact sites, no motorised craft, and we leave the banks alone.

Keep it local. We work with suppliers, guides and producers from the region. The money that comes in should stay nearby.

Look after people. Small enough to know who's staying, and staffed by people who would rather help you set up than watch you struggle.

There's a bar and restaurant on the grounds, a short walk from any site. [Confirm opening days and hours, and whether it runs the full season.]

Every campsite and glamping tent has its own outdoor fire pit, and glamping stays include a complimentary bundle of firewood. There's a communal fire and a covered common area with picnic tables near the office.

Sunday pancakes. Anyone staying Saturday night gets a complimentary pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. No booking needed, just turn up.

Booking the axe range? You can add a BBQ lunch to any session, or take the combo built for groups coming off a river descent.
